Polityka zagraniczna Hiszpanii w latach 1833-1914

Abstrakt

The aim of the article is to study the role of Spain on the international arena in the second half of the 19th century and beginning of the 20th century. The discussed research problems aim at answering the following questions: (1) How had the Spain’s inner confl ict, connected with the succession of Isabella II, infl uenced external relations of the country?; (2) What international consequences had September Revolution and short reign of Victor Amadeus II of Sabauda brought?; (3) How had the international community responded to creation of the fi rst Spanish Republic?; (4) What had the reorientation of Spanish Foreign Policy after the Catastrophe of 1898 depended on? The article was written using the method of references analysis and criticism, as well as comparative analysis of available, mainly Spanish, publications.
