Przegląd Europejski – European Studies Quarterly is a scientific open access journal published since 2000.
Currently, the journal is published by the Faculty of Political Science and International Studies of the University of Warsaw four times a year in the form of a quarterly. Every issue of the journal is printed, in addition to being published online on this website as an open access publication. The printed version is the primary version of the journal.

Aims & Scope:
Przegląd Europejski - European Studies Quarterly publishes mainly original peer-reviewed scientific articles. The journal presents research results within the scope of broadly understood European studies, including: political science and administration, law, international relations, economics, sociology, and philosophy.
Our primary aims is to deepen the scientific discourse in the theoretical sphere as well as to present the methodological perspectives useful for European studies. Furthermore, published articles and research reports take into account local and regional perspectives, due to their authors’ in-depth knowledge of the historical, social, legal or cultural context. The scope of the in-depth scientific discourse is broadly understood European studies, as a science not only about the way the European Union functions, but also about the European civilisation, socio-political ideas and key intercivilization challenges.
Additionally, not-reviewed materials are also published, such as essays, monograph reviews, reports, and comments.
To submit an article for publication, please contact the Editorial Board by email and propose a topic. Then, after agreeing on a topic, the Editorial Board will send the author detailed guidelines and a template for preparing the article.

Internationalisation
To date, the journal has been published mostly in the Polish language, with some texts in English (and occasionally in Russian, German and Spanish).
Since 2015, it has been systematically internationalised by extending the scope of problems discussed and establishing an Scientific Board composed of representatives of foreign universities.
Activities taken to growth international reach of the Quarterly include increasing the number of articles in English and broadening the circle of foreign authors and reviewers.
Nowadays articles are published in English and in Polish.
Open Access & licence
Przegląd Europejski – European Studies Quarterly chose to fully participate in the international community of scholars, with no limits to the spread of the academic findings. Therefore, the journal’s content is available in Open Access, under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0, CC BY 4.0.
Professional archiving of digital collection
The journal uses the service Repozytorium Cyfrowe Biblioteki Narodowej (Digital Repository of the National Library) called the e-service "Polonium in the cloud for libraries" that allowes the ability to manage digital assets and metadata as well as to expand the visibility of digital resources on the Internet..
Revenue sources
Przegląd Europejski – European Studies Quarterly is an Open Access journal with no subscription charges. The Quarterly does not receive any revenues from publication of regular issues.
The Journal is financed by the University of Warsaw. Any revenues from special issues, supplements or any other form of subsidies or sponsorships that occur on an irregular basis, do not influence the decisions of the Editors. There is no subscription fee.
In the case of direct marketing, the Editors will make every effort to target them accurately and unobtrusively.

The journal is co-financed from the Programme "Excellence Initiative Research University" (IDUB) of the University of Warsaw, Action I.2.1. "Improvement of publishing capacities".
2023–2024
The journal was co-financed from:
1) the budget of the Polish Ministry of Education and Science on the basis of the contract no. RCN/SP/0236/2021/1 signed on 9.12.2022 within the programme „Rozwój czasopism naukowych” (Development of scientific journals), announced by the Regulation of the Minister of Education and Science of August 3, 2021 on the programme "Development of scientific journals" (Journal of Laws of 2021, item 1514);
2) the Programme "Excellence Initiative Research University" (IDUB) of the University of Warsaw, Action I.2.1. "Improvement of publishing capacities – increasing the international outreach of UW journals".
2019–2020
The journal was co-financed from the budget of the Polish Ministry of Science and Higher Education:
1) on the basis of the contract no. 423/WCN/2019/1 signed on 12.07.2019 within the programme „Wsparcie dla czasopism naukowych” (Support for scientific journals);
2) on the basis of the contract no. 598/P-DUN/2019 ze środków Ministra Nauki i Szkolnictwa Wyższego przeznaczonych na działalność upowszechniającą naukę, zadanie 4: Zwiększenie znaczenia i międzynarodowego zasięgu czasopisma naukowego „Przegląd Europejski”.
